Next time you plan dinner, get your child involved in creating name tents for the table. You might make it even fancier by putting on a tablecloth, flowers or a candle!

Step 1: Tell your child that you are planning a special dinner and that you need her help in creating beautiful name tents for the table.
Step 2: Fold a piece of construction paper into thirds so that it can be made into a tent.
Step 3: Invite your child to print her name in one section of the construction paper and to decorate with a drawing. Use this to create a name tent to place on the table at her seat.
Step 4: Ask your child to make name tents for the other family members at the table.
Step 5: Proudly display the name tents at the dinner table! 
Ask your child to create her own name tent. Make it a family project where all other family members can make their own!
Invite your child to create placemats for the dinner in addition to the name tents.
