18 to 23 Months Concept

This is a book that can grow with your child. It is not a book that needs to be read from front to back. In fact, any page you turn to is packed with fun pictures and fun facts. You will never run out of things to talk about!

Before, During and After Reading

Oral Language

There is so much to look at and talk about just on the front cover! Some of the pictures are quite ordinary and some are very silly. You can talk with your child about which of the vehicles you might see on the road and which ones are silly.

Oral Language

You can start at the beginning or you can ask your child to open to any page. Wherever you open, you will have volumes to talk about. Discuss the illustrations. Talk about the vehicles, what services they provide, and where you might see them. Let your child point out the pictures that are silly. Track under the related text with your finger as you read it to him.

Beginning Writing

Provide unlined paper and crayons. Ask your child to draw his favorite vehicles. They might be realistic or he might imagine and draw his own silly vehicle.
